Nikon has launched its smallest and lightest full-frame DSLR to date, the Nikon D750. The 24.3-megapixel model, which weighs 840g with battery and memory cards, is the first Nikon full-frame DSLR with a tilting LCD screen and built-in WiFi.

Other features include high-speed shooting at 6.5 frames per second (in full-frame FX, and reduced-frame DX formats), 51-point AF system with AF low-light sensitivity to -3EV, and an ISO range of 100-12,800 ISO, extendable to 50-51,200.

Video capture is available at Full HD (1080p) resolution (60, 30 and 24fps), with full manual exposure control. The weather sealed body uses magnesium alloy for the rear and top panels and carbon-fibre reinforced thermoplastics for the front body and cover. Dual SD memory card slots allow several options for image writing including 'overflow' recording, 'backup' recording, separate RAW/JPEG recording, and copying between slots.

The 3.2-inch, 1,229,000-dot LCD screen rotates up 90 degrees and down 75 degrees to enable shooting from unusual angles including ground-level and overhead shots.

Along with the D750, Nikon has also announced the AF-S Nikkor 20mm f/1.8G ED lens, an ultra-wide-angle, fixed-focal-length lens compatible with Nikon FX-format digital SLRs, and the SB-500, Nikon’s first Speedlight with a built-in LED light.

All three products will be available from 25 September 2014. Nikon has not announced Australian pricing.
