Nikkor 70-300mm zooms released next month

Comments Comments

Nikon has announced the release of two variations of its new compact and lightweight AF-P DX Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED 4.3x telephoto zoom lens.

To suit buyer preference, the lens will be available with or without VR stabilisation.

Both new Nikkor 70-300 lenses have maximum apertures of f/4.5-6.3 and cover effective angles of view equivalent to 105-450mm in FX/35mm format.

Nikon says autofocusing is carried out by a stepping motor for fast and quiet focusing and minimum noise.

Both models include an ED lens element for suppressing all types of aberration and to help achieve excellent optical performance.

The AF-P DX Nikkor 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR is equipped with a Vibration Reduction (VR) function that offers up to four stops of image-stabilisation compensation.

Both lenses have physical dimensions of 72mm in diameter x 125mm length. The AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED weighs around 400g, the AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED VR around 415g.

The 70-300mm Nikkor lenses will be available in mid-September, see local dealers for pricing information.
