LG targets photographers with latest smartphone

LG Electronics have announced their newest smartphone aimed at photographers and creative professionals, the V20.

Like similar smartphones the Huawei P9 and iPhone7, the V20 features dual cameras, a 29mm f/1.8 lens and a 12mm f/2.4 lens, although the wide lens is limited to 8mp. In a nod to photographers, the V20 features manual mode which gives the user the freedom to adjust settings such as white balance, manual focus and frame rates.

The smartphone camera features a 5.7 inch display (2560x1440) and can record in 4K resolution with electronic image stabilisation.The LG V20 also pairs high quality video with the same audio formating used in professional video equipment.

Inside the V20 is a Qualcomm® Snapdragon 820 processor with 4GB of RAM. The phone features a seperate expandable micro-SD (up to 2TB) slot that can be used in conjunction with dual sim slots. The device is able to record Hi-Fi audio, providing high quality reproduction of sound to closely resemble the original source. It also supports optimal playback with Hi-Fi Quad DAC to help minimise distortion and background noise.

The device is availiable today in JB-HI-FI stores for $1099.
