Yongnuo release new 50mm f/1.8 II lens

Chinese-company Yongnuo have released a new 50mm f/1.8 II lens, which maintains a striking similarity with Canon's cheap and popular 'nifty fifty' 50mm f/1.8 lens.

Yongnuo say the new 50mm lens offers improved AF accuracy and speed over the previous model, and uses a new coating technology promising better control of ghosting and glare. The minimum focusing distance is also improved, at 0.35m.

Like with Yongnuo's quirky YN43 Smartphone add-on announced last week, we would expect the new 50mm to appear on Amazon and B&H  relatively soon, and it's currently available on eBay for $75. 

No word on other mount types either - as for now, it's just available for Canon EF.
