Lume Cube have announced a new version of their popular LED light: the Lume Cube AIR.

Like the original Lume Cube, the Lume Cube Air is a continuous LED light that can be used with any camera, including smartphones and GoPros. Weighing in at just 2oz and 1.625” x 1.625” x 1.125”, the company describe it as their smallest, lightest, and most portable lighting device designed.

The AIR has a CRI rating of +/- 90, a 5700K daylight balanced color temperature, 400 LUX at 1M power, and a 60-degree beam angle. That said the smaller Lume Cube Air doesn’t pack as much power as the original. It is rated up to 400 Lux (compared to the original Lume Cube’s 750).

The LED on the Lume Cube AIR can be controlled by the Lume-X iOS or Android app, which, as well as allowing for multiple Lume Cube AIRs to be used in tandem, can also control brightness, light mode, strobe speeds, battery levels, and more. There's also Bluetooth functionality. The AIR is water and shockproof, and usable even submerged underwater up to 30 feet, and can be mounted a number of ways,a hotshoe, a tripod mount or its magnetised base.

Included are two diffusers (cooling and warming), a lanyard and charging cable. It is available now from Lumecube.com and select retailers worldwide for $69.95USD.
