Gigabyte delivers Jolt to action cam market
A newly released entry in the crowded action cam market, the Gigabyte Jolt Duo, adds 360 degrees imagery to the growing list of feature choices for buyers.
The maker says the Jolt Duo features dual spherical lenses to provide full 360 degree footage coverage and can be paired with smart devices through Wi-Fi for live streaming and remote control via its mobile app.
The camera's software features built-in stitching and editing for ease of combining multiple videos.
This action camera has two 4MP sensors, with each seven element lens having an aperture f2.0 and wide angle of 220 degrees.
HD video recording is 1920 x 960p at 30fps while jpeg stills of 4.5 MP resolution can also be taken. Recording is done to micro SDHC card (up to 32GB, Class 6 or higher).
The camera adjusts exposure and white balance automatically.
The Gigabyte Jolt Duo features a 1" display, has a built-in microphone and is powered by a 1500mAh Li-ion battery claimed to provide 90 minutes of use in normal recording mode and 60 minutes when using wi-fi.
Its physical dimensions are 60 x 49 x 32mm with weight of 104g including battery.
Jolt Duo is available now for around $300.
