DJI announces Osmo Pocket 3

Comments Comments

DJI has announced the Osmo Pocket 3, which features 4K at 120fps 10-bit video recording capabilities, a 1” CMOS sensor, three built-in microphones, and the company's ActiveTrack 6.0 subject tracking when shooting in either smart horizontal or vertical modes.

The Osmo Pocket 3 also features a fully rotatable 2-inch full-color OLED touchscreen, with DJI reporting that the device will be able to be charged to 80% in just 16 minutes and will be able to record up to 116 minutes of 4K/60 fps footage or up to 166 minutes of 1080p/24 fps footage.

As mentioned, video specs max out at 4K at 120fps 10-bit, a lift over the 4K 60 of the Osmo Pocket 2, despite that action cam's 1/1.7-inch CMOS sensor and its 64-megapixels. The Pocket 3 also has 10-bit HLG colour modes.

In addition, the camera will fine-tune the exposure for different skin tones to 'deliver a clear and glowing complexion in every frame'.

There's a Product Showcase mode for smooth live streaming and product showcasing, in addition to SpinShot, Motionlapse, Digital Zoom (now up to 4x), and Panorama. There’s also a new one-tap edit feature that uses AI intelligent recognition to pull recommended highlights from captured footage and then generate shareable 4K videos.

The Osmo Pocket 3 is available to order from store.dji.com/au and authorised retail partners, with shipping starting today. Pricing starts at $849.
