Vivian Gallogly, Salt of the Earth (Aerial 2021)

With new technologies enabling us to explore the landscapes from different angles the drone has put me on a recourse of visiting a lot of my old landscapes spots. For example, seeing salt lakes from above gives not only a differnt view but extracts colours from the land not visable from the ground. These colours are enhanced to the point where they almost look fake. The salt lake water moves the soil around to create images on the surface of our land. The combination of the colours and shapes juxdaposed with textures and contours of the land make beautiful extracts "This is the face of our earth".
