Lensbaby has announced a professional version of its popular Composer lens. The new lens features an upgraded metal ball design which results in smoother focus and tilt control.
The Composer Pro is compatible with the Lensbaby Optic Swap System and is available bundled with the Double Glass Optic or the Sweet 35 Optic.
The new lens joins the Composer, Scout, Muse, and Control Freak in the growing Lensbaby lineup and is available in mounts to suit Canon, Nikon, Sony, Minolta, Pentax K, Samsung GX and Olympus E-series DSLRs.
Australian pricing and availabilty will be announced soon. In the US, the Composer Pro will retail for US$300 with the Double Glass Optic installed and for US$400 with the Sweet 35 Optic. The entry-level Lensbaby Composer will remain in Lensbaby’s product line but at a reduced price of US$250.
