WINNER

Peter Barnes

After studying basic photography and darkroom skills at the South Australia School of Art, Peter Barnes committed to pursuing a full-time career in photography in 2008. Indulging his obsession with photographing seascapes, buildings, bridges and other “big stuff”, Barnes received his first ever commission in 2010. Recent projects include shooting Adelaide’s new film studios, a 14-storey apartment building and a couple of bridges. Barnes was named South Australian runner-up AIPP Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2009, Illustrative/Fine Art Photographer of the Year in 2010 and South Australian Commercial Photographer of the Year in 2011.
