Digital pen maker Adonit has announced a new pressure-sensitive stylus for the iPad. The Jot Touch with Pixelpoint includes two shortcut buttons and can be connected wirelessly to iOS devices running Bluetooth 4.

Described as a "fine-tip stylus" it offers 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity and the option to switch on 'palm rejection' to avoid unintended touch commands.

You can write or draw in any app, however pressure sensitivity and the shortcut buttons only work with "Jot Ready" apps, a list which is currently limited to Adobe Line and Adobe Sketch. Adonit claims 17 more Jot-Ready apps are "coming soon".

In its favour, the stylus is the first third-party stylus to offer integration with Adobe Creative Cloud.

"By bringing Creative Cloud and Pixelpoint together, we’re making giant leaps toward unifying mobile, desktop and cloud-based workspaces into a new digital studio," said Kris Perpich, Adonit's Chief Experience Officer.

It ships with a USB charger (the stylus is good for around 20 hours of drawing from a single charge) and retails for $149.
