Nikon is set to release three new lenses, the AF-S Nikkor DX 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR, AF-S Nikkor 500 mm f/4E FL ED VR and AF-S Nikkor 600 mm f/4E FL ED VR.

The Nikkor AF-S DX 16-80mm f/2.8-4E ED VR uses Nano Crystal Coat, aspherical lens and Extra-low Dispersion (ED) lens elements to minimise ghosting and chromatic aberration. A fluorine coating on the front and rear lens elements repels dust, water droplets, smudges and dirt. Designed for Nikon's DX (APS-C) cameras, the lens includes built-in Vibration Reduction (VR) which Nikon says allows you to hand-hold the camera with a shutter speed reduction of four stops while still shooting sharp images.

Nikon's two new telephoto lenses, the AF-S Nikkor 500 mm f/4E FL ED VR and AF-S Nikkor 600 mm f/4E FL ED VR, are designed specifically for Nikon's FX (full-frame) cameras and, at 3090g and 3810g respectively, are the lightest FX lenses in this category to date. The lenses use Fluorite lens elements, Extra-low Dispersion (ED) glass and Nano Crystal Coat and include built-in Vibration Reduction (VR). The VR system includes 'Normal' and 'Sport' modes to suit different subject types.

All three lenses are due to go on sale on 16 July 2015. Pricing has not been announced.
