Phil Scholes, The Wheels of Time (Black and White 2017)

These rusting agricultural piece adorned the entrance to a farming property on the drive from Armidale to Dangars Falls in the Oxley Wild Rivers National Park, NSW. I immediately saw the monochrome potential, and with my new 12-24mm Sigma f4 lens, on my Canon 6D, I took about 20 shots, all of which came out amazingly. The property owners returned from an early morning trip out and were only too delighted that I was taking photos of these once, amazing machines. I think the 12mm lens really emphasises the shapes and combined with the texture of the grass and the moody clouds, I was very proud of the final results.
