Daniel Courtney, Forest Glow (Professional Category 2017)

This image was taken in the Summer of '17, in a very unique location within Australia. The sunlight filters through the canopy striking these brilliant trees. We were touring around Victoria in a hired campervan, spending a solid 7 days capturing as many amazing images of Victoria as possible. This Californian Redwood grove lies deep in the Otways, next to the Aire river, and was planted in the 1930's as a softwood logging experiment. They were only ever logged for testing, before being declared part of the National Park in 2004. Image details: Nikon D810, Tamron 15-30, 1 sec, F8, ISO 64
