Yes the mangrove is real! I get asked this question every weekend when customers meet me and see this image printed at my store. I have an image taken of the same mangrove at low tide on my phone just to prove it! Taken on the shores of the East Point reserve in Darwin, looking back towards the city, this mangrove has a cluster of tree's on each side of it, however careful framing allowed me to capture the majestic tree by itself. At low tide the water is out in the middle of the bay, and at high tide it touches the base of the branches. The direction the tree faces prevents getting a sunset photo with it, so I waited for an overcast day when the tides were right to head out. My wife was on crocodile watch as this is Salty territory, as I was knee deep out in the mud. Thankfully everything worked together to allow me this stunning image. Taken with a Nikon D810 and Tamron 15-30mm lens, 25 sec exposure F22, 30mm, ISO 31 Dan
