SmugMug Films has released a new video showcasing the work of London-based street photographer Alan Schaller.

The five-and-a-half-minute video narrated by Schaller, gives a great insight into how he identifies the types of subjects he wants to capture, and how simply observing thew streets helps him see the 'harmony of life’s unpredictability'.

Interestingly, Schaller originally studied music, and went on to write music for tv and films before picking up a camera just four years ago.

"Both music and photography are storytelling artforms, and studying music helped me understand the importance of narrative in photography," he explains.

You can find more of Schaller's work on his Flickr photo stream and purchase a print through his online shop.
