Who won our 'icons' photo comp?
Huge congratulations to Matt Williams, winner of the August 'Icons' competition with his entry 'More than just the stars shine'.
More than 500 images were entered in the monthly competition, with this month's guest judge Darran Leal of photo tour company World Photo Adventures choosing Matt's image as the overall winner:
"When you think of ‘Icons’, everyone will think a different thing. From the Eiffel Tower, to an iceberg, from the Mona Lisa to an old vintage car - the list is so huge! I looked through the submitted images, looking for a classic 'iconic image' that showed a thought process and an understanding of technique and composition. That limited the number down to a couple. My final choice was Matt Williams' shot. What a great image of an Iconic subject!”.
This month's People's Choice winner, with more than 300 Facebook likes was Hugh Benson with his image 'Tidal rock'.
Huge congratulations to Matt who has won himself a $150 Momento gift voucher as our overall winner and Hugh who has won a $100 momento voucher as our people's choice winner. The voucher will let both winners create a stylish coffee table book to match the quality of their photography.
