On our Facebook last week we shared Ted Hesser and Andrew Studer's remarkable climbing photo captured at Smith Rock in Oregon during the August 21st total solar eclipse (You can see it below). Now, thanks to this behind the scenes video from Columbia Sportswear, we get to see how it all came together.

it's safe to say Studer and Hesser's once-in-a-lifetime photos of climber Tommy Smith standing in front of 'totality' are some of the most iconic photographs from last week's celestial event in the states. The ammount of planning for a shot like this, with such a narrow window to work with, is hugely impressive. Enjoy.
