Tamron has announced a new lineup of lightweight "super-zoom" lenses including a 16-300mm macro, 28-300mm, 14-150mm and an updated version of its Mark II 18-200mm zoom which is now compatible with Canon EOS M-mount cameras.

The 16-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di II VC PZD Macro ($849) and 28-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di VC PZD ($649) are both compatible with Canon, Nikon and Sony APS-C cameras and include built-in vibration correction and Tamron's Piezo Drive (PZD) AF motor. The 16-300mm lens also offers macro magnification down to a ration of 1:2.9 with a minimum focusing distance of 39cm.

The 14-150mm F/3.5-5.8 Di III ($849) is Tamron's first high-power zoom lens for Micro Four Thirds cameras, and offers an equivalent focal length of 28-300mm and a metal lens barrel. A near-silent autofocus stepping motor means the lens can also be used for video applications.

Tamron's AF 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 XR Di II was originally released for the Sony E-mount in 2011. Now, the lens has been rebooted as the 18-200mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III VC and is compatible with Canon's mirrorless interchangeable-lens camera, the EOS M. Available in two colours the lens offers an effective zoom range of 29-320mm and includes vibration correction and stepping motor for the autofocus drive. It also supports Direct Manual Focus (DMF), which allows the user to make fine manual adjustments after initially focusing by autofocus.
