Queen's Brian May slams photographer after stealing her image
As reported at Petapixel, Guitarist Brian May has found himself the subject of a photographer's ire after he published an image without permission on his instagram feed.
The Queen guitarist, who has a following of more than 100,000 on instagram, shared an image taken at a recent gig by photographer Barbara Kremer without her permission. When she noticed the image had been shared, Kremer lodged a copyright violation notice with instagram.
In an instagram post, May declared the takedown as "rude" and said he’s “usually very careful to credit anyone whose photos” he posts, but “must have forgotten” in this case. May went on to say that his account was disabled for 45 minutes as a result of the takedown request.
He then turned his attention to Kremer:
“You not only took my picture and are evidently exploiting my image, and making money off me without so much as a ‘by your leave’ – but you actually stop me using a picture of myself,” May wrote on his public post. “What a crazy world we live in these days."
May even threatened to bar the photographer if she ever appeared at a Queen gig in the future:
“If I ever discover that you are at one of our concerts in future, look out, because, logically, I will be tempted to have you thrown out.”

May is no stranger to copyright infringement - in 2016 Queen song 'We are the champions' was used at the Republican convention against the band's wishes.
