Ian Carlson is a Sydney-based commercial photographer who specialises in landscape and architecture photography.
He is known for capturing beautifully simple images of often wild and remote places. With a background in science Carlson combines an in-depth academic knowledge of the environment with his passion for image making. He applies the same approach to his commercial work, simplifying scenes to express the visions of his clients producing images for clients such as Clipsal, Schneider and Laubman and Pank.
In 2010 he became an Associate of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography.
