Adelaide-based commercial photographer David Evans is passionate about landscapes. Winner of the South Australian Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2006, 2008 and 2009 and runner up in the Australian Professional Landscape Photographer of the Year awards in 2008, Evans' panoramic landscapes have a distinctive style, which he calls "slow photography".

His images have an ethereal and painterly quality, a result of using slow film and slow shutter speeds. Exposures can take anywhere from seconds to hours.

Evans is also an accomplished commercial and advertising photographer and is an Associate of the Australian Institute of Professional Photography and a contracted photographer for Lonely Planet Images.
