Nude Blogger scores win against Instagram’s nudity censorship

Nudity on social media is vigorously monitored and typically taken down quickly. Aussie Instagrammer theNudeBlogger recently experienced this when her account with over 55k followers was taken down with strict adherence to Instagram’s no nudity policy.

After several attempts to contact Instagram the owner of the account, Jessa, fed up with being ignored decided instead to do something a little incendiary. Starting up a new account Jessa re-uploaded all of her old photos plus a new one.

Thanks to the media coverage Jessa amassed and after some talks with Instagram, theNudeBlogger was restored, with Jessa’s grimace being replaced with a smile.

“A win for body-positivity and a win against Instagram!” she says.

“This gives hope to us who are genuinely trying to make a difference and serves as a reminder to never give up on our message, even when we’re going up against Goliath.”
