The sad news from Nikon is coming thick and fast - first the company announced the closure of their Chinese factory as a result of smartphone sales, and now they have announced they are pulling out of Brazil - entirely.

Currently Nikon only sells through e-commerce in Brazil, and the closure means that any Brazilian customers will only be able to purchase Nikon products as grey-market imports, with no local insurance or representation fron Nikon after December 31.

However according to dpreview, products under warranty and purchased from the Nikon Brazil Store before the cutoff of December 31 will continue to be warrantied.
