New Work from Anna-Marÿke opens in Sydney

Whether it’s the diverse landscape of the Southern Highlands or simply a life surrounded by family, culture and art, Anna-Marÿke has created an aura of contemplation, calm, and solitude in her latest photography exhibition New Work.

The photographs in the exhibition were created without the use of digital manipulation, following a more traditional approach of analogue photography. With meticulous attention to detail, the exhibition is the culmination of 8 years of work in the studio.

The New Work exhibition is an associated exhibition of the Head On Photo Festival in Sydney which takes place throughout May 2016.

About Anna-Marÿke

Anna-Marÿke is an Australian artist, who, for over 30 years, has been specialising in analogue photography. In addition to a focus on her black-and-white darkroom practice, she also works in the studio with colour transparency. Anna-Marÿke’s work reflects her traditional Dutch upbringing, as well as elements found in her self-constructed, real-time compositions from her immediate environment in the Southern Highlands of NSW.
