Melbourne's VAC Gallery, located in the lobby of the Victorian Archives Centre, is calling for submissions from street photographers for its upcoming photo exhibition, Moving Melbourne: Cities Don't Stand Still.

The VAC Gallery produces photographic exhibitions featuring archival photographs uncovered from the state government archival collection, alongside contemporary street photographs of Victoria and Melbourne.

As with the exhibition earlier this year, new work is being sought to showcase alongside the archival collection.

"We call for street photographers to send us photos which capture the essence of a city in constant motion, whether it's a tram with late night passengers, or a crane swinging its cargo over the port - surprise us," says the gallery's website.

Submissions close Friday 14 September 2018 and all people who submit will be invited to the launch in October.

You can find out more about submitting work to the exhibition on the Facebook event, or via the VAC Photo gallery website.
