GoPro Hero 6 announced

Comments Comments

Finally, after a nightmare of leaks, the GoPro Hero 6 has officially been announced. Looking a lot like its predecessor the GoPro Hero 5, inside you'll find a new processor and improved frame rates, image stabilization and image quality.

Just like many rumors predicted, the GoPro Hero 6 shoots 4K at 60fps. The 2.7k video is available at 120fps, and at 1080p you can shoot 240fps, double the frame rates of the Hero 5.

Digital image stabilization has also been improved when compared to the Hero 5. For stills, the new model shoots 12MP images at 30fps in burst timelapse mode and it should offer better dynamic range and low-light performance than the 5. It's also rugged and waterproof (up to 33′). It has a rear touchscreen and Wi-Fi connectivity for remote monitoring and control.
