Entries open for 2018 National Portrait Prize
Entries are now open for the National Photographic Portrait Prize 2019, with the winner set to receive $52,000 in cash and prizes.
The National Photographic Portrait Prize strives to promote the very best in contemporary, photographic portraiture by professional and aspiring Australian photographers. Finalists are selected from a national field of competitive entries.
First prize now comprises $30,000 cash, a Canon DSLR Camera valued at $9,499; a Canon lens valued at $2,649; and a Canon Colour Graphic Large Format Printer, including professional service and consumables, valued at $10,000.
The Director of the National Portrait Gallery, Angus Trumble, says the prize encourages photographers to push boundaries.
