As a documentary photographer, David Maurice Smith is drawn to the stories found in marginalised communities and across culturally sensitive issues. He photographs for both commissioned and personal projects and strives to create compelling work to generate awareness, empathy and social change. His photographic approach is informed by a previous career in social work supporting disadvantaged individuals. In 2012, he was invited to join the collective Oculi.

Based in Cairo, Ed Giles is an award-winning Australian photojournalist who has been working full-time since 2010. In 2011, Giles was awarded a Walkley Award for Online Journalism for work with the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s Online Investigations Unit. His photographic work is represented by Getty Images and has been featured in various publications including The New York Times, TIME magazine, The Guardian, The Washington Post and The Sydney Morning Herald.
