The Ballarat International Foto Biennale (BIFB) 2019 is inviting photographers to apply for a free portfolio review with a number of leading Australian and international experts.

Based in Ballarat, Victoria, the Ballarat International Foto Biennale was founded in 2005 and is recognised as one of Australia’s pre-eminent photographic festivals.

38 portfolio review places are available, with selected photographers and photographic artists each meeting with three curators from the BIFB's In Focus Curator Forum

The full-day portfolio review promises "in-depth discussions about your practice, valuable critical insights into your work and a chance to further develop your professional networks."

Photographers interested in applying will need to be able to commit to travel to Ballarat for the full day workshop on Thursday 29 August. Photographers from anywhere in the world are invited to apply.

To apply, photographers must submit a biography and CV, and examples of up to two bodies of work in PDF or via a URL.

You can find out more about the portfolio reviews, and apply, here.
