Antarctica

Be awed by the rugged landscapes and unique animal encounters offered by Antarctica and South Georgia.

From South America, it takes less than two days’ sailing, or two hours’ flying, to enter a world that fills the heart, overloads the senses and imprints your memory forever.

The Antarctic Peninsula’s west coast offers ice-clad peaks towering over a maze of protected channels; the east coast a vast icecap and strange, fossil-rich islands. From spring to fall, this stunning landscape becomes furious with life as penguins, seals, petrels, and whales arrive to feed and breed. Follow in Shackleton’s wake along the Scotia Arc, from Elephant Island to South Georgia to discover a wildlife oasis like no other.

Amazonia, Cloud Forests or the Galápagos. Fantastic wilderness and wildlife sanctuaries await, choose from three of Ecuador’s richest regions to create your own adventure!

Ecuador is one of the most diverse and colourful corners of the planet, a country bursting with life and a promise of wild, unforgettable adventures.

Amazon rainforests, Andean cloud forests and the incomparable Galápagos Islands; each is worthy of its own expedition, but together, they provide one of the most exciting forays into the natural world. We have developed two unique itineraries to give you the option to explore all three regions on one incredible adventure, or to simply soak up the unusual landscapes and wildlife on a Galápagos cruise.

Each itinerary is action-packed with daily excursions into the peculiar and pristine. The Andean Cloud Forest’s high-altitude trails lead us through one the most bio-diverse regions in the world in search of the elusive howler monkey and an array of bird species. Deep within the Amazon basin you’ll discover exotic plants and wildlife, cruise down the famed Napo River, and even try your hand at fishing for a ferocious piranha – if you dare!

European Arctic

The Arctic summer offers sunsets that linger until dawn, snowmelt feeding waterfalls and glaciers that drop massive icebergs into the sea.
The Arctic summer offers sunsets that linger until dawn, snowmelt feeding waterfalls and glaciers that drop massive icebergs into the sea.

The High Arctic summer brings a sense of urgency, and the best way to experience its wonders is on an exciting expedition Arctic cruise.

Like the Inuits and Vikings who preceded us, our Arctic trips are explorations by sea. In our small polar cruise ship, we chase the Gulf Stream’s warm currents up Scotland and Norway’s coasts to Spitsbergen, then sail the icy waters to Greenland, Iceland and back again.

A short season of long days, the Arctic summer offers sunsets that linger until dawn, snowmelt feeding waterfalls and glaciers that drop massive icebergs into the sea. Whether calving from Svalbard’s vast glacier fronts or squeezing into Greenland’s deep fjords, mesmerising icebergs of every shape and aqua hue can be seen. From Scottish seaports to Norwegian and Icelandic fishing towns, the adventure base of Longyearbyen to Inuit villages of East Greenland, we enjoy a wide range of history and local culture.

Patagonia

Patagonia is the ultimate paradise for landscape photographers.
Patagonia is the ultimate paradise for landscape photographers.

Sprawling across the border of Argentina and Chile, Patagonia is one of the planet’s greatest frontiers.

Wild and isolated, Patagonia is South America’s playground for intrepid adventurers. Its wind-swept plains, glaciated mountain ranges and turquoise lakes stretch for thousands of miles, and despite its desolation, it holds a wealth of unique flora and fauna.

The best way to explore the region is on foot, and our premium Patagonia tours provide trekking experiences that allow you to do just that. Witness ice calving from Perito Moreno’s 5km glacier front, watch the sunrise over the legendary Torres del Paine, and enjoy breath-taking views from Cerro Fitz Roy and Cerro Torres base camps. Keep your eyes peeled for Patagonia’s wildlife; flamingos, ibis and swans on the shores of Lake Argentino or befriend a charismatic guanaco as you cross the Patagonian steppes. With so much to see and do, Patagonia’s travel and nature experiences are enough to entice trekkers of all levels.
