Image doctor's advice
Hi Allie,
I would call this a record photograph. Most of the elements that I consider essential in making a good photograph, namely those of design, lighting and emotion are missing for me in this photograph. About the only thing that makes me sad is the quiet knowledge that once upon a time this was a beautiful Bell Jetranger helicopter.
I almost put this image into the "too hard" basket but then I decided to have a scratch about in my folder of Nic Software effects. The image below was treated using an effect called Vintage Colours in Nik Softwares HDR Efex Pro. I would not normally apply this particular effect to my images, but in this instance it has helped to soften the tonal range of the image while at the same time making more sense of all the signage over the fuselage.
Remember, making a photograph does not begin and end with the pushing of the shutter button. Some of the best images are made in the digital darkroom!
Keep exploring with that camera!
Cheers, Anthony

This is an example of when a photograph becomes a piece of art. I like it very much. Forget it's a photo and enjoy the image. I like the image doctors' effects, though would have liked a little more contrast. People get too precious about not enhancing images, and we lose too many potentialy lovely images because they are not 'perfect' It is very subjective. I like this one.

Horrible!!! This proves that if you do not take a good photo to start with, then no amount of post processing will make it better. Image Doctor: your version looks like a vomit. C'mon you should know better.

This is a difficult image to comment on. I like what you have done with the vintage effects but the advertising decals still distract the eyes.
