Olympus announces weather-resistant FL-700WR flash, commander and receiver

Announced at the same time as the new OM-D E-M1X, Olympus has introduced a new wireless flash, the FL-700WR, as well as a wireless commander, the FC-WR, and wireless receiver, the FR-WR. 

The electronic flash features a dustproof, splashproof, -10°C freezeproof performance and wireless radiowave shooting compatibility with a maximum guide number of 42.

Features such as High Res Shot, Focus Stacking, and Focus Bracketing, included on the OM-D E-M1X and OM-D E-M1 Mark II, can be used with the flash. A Multi Flash mode makes it possible to fire the flashgun multiple times during a single shot, with adjustable intensity and frequency. Interestingly, the flash is also equipped with an LED light for constant illumination, somthing that would be especially useful during video recording.

The FL-700WR will be available in February for $569.
