Canon celebrates 90 million cameras and 130 million lenses sold

Canon have announced they've hit a major milestone - 90 million EOS cameras have been sold.

According to Canon 90 million EOS cameras and 130 million EF-series interchangeable lenses had been sold since EOS was introduced in 1987 with the Canon EOS 650. The market accelerated throughout the early 2000’s with the popularity of Digital SLR cameras.

An EOS 5D Mark IV was the 90 millionth camera sold while an EF 16-35mm f/2.8L III USM lens was the 130 millionth lens unit sold.
