No Body
by Hailey Lane This work present an allegory of a woman about whom I know nothing, but that she was 59 when she died of a heart attack. Agreeing to donate her cadaver to science, her body was frozen and cut into .33 millimetre slices from head to toe, resulting in over 5,000 detailed sections of the human anatomy. Each section was then individually photographed and placed into an open-source database for research. Using these images in a single frame, my aim became to recreate her, to give her new life.
